Physics 101--A Rose Academy Review

Physics, Chemistry & Biology 101 {The 101 Series}
The 101 Series has always provided excellent science DVD's. Physics 101 is no exception. My high school students are currently using Biology 101 this year. Last year my oldest daughter used the Chemistry 101 discs for her chemistry class. When the opportunity came to review the Physics 101 program, of course I was thrilled at the opportunity. These are all excellent programs to use a supplement to any curriculum. They are appropriate for all ages--even my middle school son has enjoyed watching some of the clips.

10 Ways to Fail at Teaching Your Kids Elementary Biology

I think I may be a professional at failing to teach biology to my kids. I have every intention of doing so, but it always gets put on the back burner OR I find something else "more important" that I'd rather teach them. You see science is not my favorite subject in school. (I blame that on the dreaded yearly science fair that I was required to participate in every single year in middle and high school.) But science, especially biology, does need to be taught in every homeschool. And yes, it needs to be introduced in elementary school. By now, with kids in high school, I consider myself a professional of sorts at failing at teaching biology. Here I have written 10 ways to fail miserably at teaching your kids biology--surely I'm not the only one in this boat am I?
