Wonders of Creation Holy Bible--A Rose Academy Review

This is the first time that I've seen a bible with coloring pages in it. I mean I have used a journaling Bible, but one with coloring pages? Nope! So this is definitely a first for me. I was actually curious how there could be coloring pages in the Bible because, well, coloring pages are usually printed on nice thick quality paper, and the Bible pages are usually much thinner than that. So I was curious how this would work.

Journal Bible Review

Eeeep! I have a journal Bible! This is one that I have wanted for quite some time. Last Christmas I bought each of my girls a journal Bible and I have felt left out ever since. So naturally when this beautiful Bible came up for review, I jumped right on it!

This version is the NIV Holy Bible. It contains the full text of the Bible in the NIV translation. Each page includes the text on one half of it and lines for journaling on the outside edge. Plenty of room for drawing, doodling, writing, and decorating my thoughts about special passages.

The cover is a beautifully decorated hardcover. The picture really doesn't do the Bible justice. The gold is shiny. I really think maybe this Bible was meant to be for younger tween/teen girls, but I have claimed it, and I love it!

The pages are just a bit thicker than usual to accommodate several types of art media. So far I have used gel pens in this Bible and they have not bled through. I have also used washi tape on the pages and it goes on smoothly and doesn't wrinkle the pages.

I also appreciate the elastic strap that can be used to keep the Bible closed. Once you fill the Bible with your thoughts, ideas, and some decorations, it is useful to have the elastic strap to keep it all together.

I am so looking forward to more journaling in this Bible. There is plenty of room to take sermon notes on Sunday as well as write out my thoughts and prayers during devotion time. At first it seemed odd to me to be marking in the Bible, but this is an excellent way to connect with passages and really understand what God's word means to me personally.

Minecrafters Bible--A Rose Academy Review

My son really enjoys playing Minecraft. Anytime he earns computer time, he will choose to play Minecraft. When we saw that this Bible was up for review, he asked me to request it right away.

Color Code Bible--A Rose Academy Review

The Color Code Bible is a hard cover full text Bible, New King James Version translation, that has different verses highlighted by a specific color code. Each color stands for a different topic or theme in the Bible. These seven topics help teach kids spiritual concepts and help them to easily recognize the promises and truths of scripture.

Bibles for Guys and Girls--A Rose Academy Review

My 12 year daughter and 11 year old son were so excited to receive these new Bibles in the mail. Once we received the shipping notification, they waited quite impatiently. Each time the UPS truck rolled past our house, they actually held their breath hoping it would be stopping at our house. These Bibles really are quite lovely and I appreciate the excellent quality.

Girls Slimline Bible, NLT
The cover of this Bible is actually a hard cover which is then covered with a super soft fur. The word love is traced onto the cover in bright, contrasting colors. The pages of the Bible are also colored. This Bible is written in the New Living Translation. While it isn't my very favorite translation, I appreciate that it allows my daughter to read it easily. She uses this special Bible each night as she reads her devotions. She really loves this Bible and has mentioned that to me on several occasions. When the Bible is opened, there is a bright pink page for personalizing along with a Bible verse.
