If you've been following my blog for any amount of time, you know how much I adore One Thimble Sewing Magazine. This is my third issue and I can't believe I haven't collected every other issue that is available. This issue also marks the second birthday of One Thimble and it's especially packed with lots of goodies! Included in this issue are tutorials, sewing articles, and of course patterns. 14 patterns to be exact! This issue is simply exploding with goodness and eye candy!
What I love most about One Thimble is that it is a digital product. I love being able to download the issue directly to my iPad and then cozy up and get to reading. Each issue is packed with helpful tips and tricks for sewing. I love reading about sewing techniques and learning a new tip. I also love trying out the new patterns. The patterns I'm most excited about in this issue are the Good Fortune Head Wrap and the Statement Clutch. Both would make excellent Christmas presents that would be super quick and simple to sew up right before the holidays.
I have included a tutorial in this edition for how to make an insulated lunch tote. Last issue (issue 8) I contributed a tutorial for making reusable snack bags. They would both pair nicely to keep those plastic and paper bags out of the landfills. Sneak peek at the insulate lunch tote:
If you've never sewn with laminated cotton or with insul-bright interfacing, this is your chance to try something new. It's surprisingly easy to sew with and I especially like the results in this tote.
Here's a peek at the cover and the patterns that are included in this issue. 14 patterns total! This sewing magazine is a total bargain. Don't forget to get your copy. Just click on the pictures below to browse more or to purchase.
