I received a 4 ounce bottle of this amazing oil. This thick and silky unscented oil has many uses. What did I use this oil for?
At first I was really excited to try this oil in my hair as a finishing conditioning treatment, but I didn't end up using it only for my hair. While I did apply it to my hair, I didn't really like the way it felt in my hair. And if you have read my posts about natural hair care and not using shampoos filled with chemicals, then you will know that I am very particular about the products that I use in my hair. Of course I snapped a picture of my hair before using the oil, but I didn't snap an after picture simply because I did not use it everyday like I had originally planned.
I also applied GREEMU oil to my skin, particularly my face. This oil has a very nice silky feel to it. I applied a drop a bit bigger than the size of a pea and smoothed it over my face and down my neck. It does take some time to fully absorb into the skin so I found that I preferred to apply it at night before going to bed. This oil is not greasy feeling even though it is a nice thick oil. I believe that is because of the plant based products being blended together. Several of the products were chosen simply because they are excellent moisturizers for the skin. Unlike lotion, which is water based and absorbs quickly into the skin leaving little time for the skin to actually be moisturized, this oil slowly absorbs into the skin moisturizing cells as it does so.
I spent a little too much time one afternoon in the sun and ended up with a sunburn on my face. I applied a small drop of this oil. A few days later, the skin on my forehead began to look very dry, almost like it was getting ready to peel. Again I applied some GREEMU oil and that really helped the dryness and it didn't peel. I am thinking that was the Macadamia Oil helping this time! I really enjoy this oil and will miss it when my bottle runs out.
